Full mouth rehabilitation is one of the most challenging treatment modalities in implant dentistry, not only we need to control esthetics but also function and cleanability, for long term success.
The state of the art was traditionally “jailed” in the discussion on the number of implants needed, but soon academia and researchers, realized that the discussion should be patient related or patient centered and not number related.
Topics like biomaterial, full mouth design of prosthesis, cantilevers and A-P spread of implants where not sorely, investigated and some where even forgotten.
Today, we have, both on the surgical and on the prosthodontic arena, several technologies that can help the clinician to become better.
The integration of digital protocols is a present reality and a certain future in dental implantology, fully digital flows allowed a shift in the way that we plan and treat patients in the clinic.
The state of digital art, essentially aims at simplifying clinical acts with greater predictability and speed, with clear benefit to the patient.
Digital technology has also allowed the integration of once hard-to-master technologies such as full mouth rehabilitation protocols or the use of pre-fabricated customized abutments.
The mechanical part of protocols is undoubtedly important.
However, it is in the area of Biology and Physiology of implants that these digital technologies make a difference in relation to conventional technologies.
In this context, this conference aims to show at what points the digital technology came to help full mouth rehabilitation, peri-implant biology, confronting biochemistry, biology, aesthetics and function.

The Lecture will focus on Full Mouth Rehabilitation Protocols with the following aims:

Learn about Treatment Plan in full mouth protocols
Digital Vs Conventional Protocols
Facial Scanners from evidence to clinical use
CBCT integration with intraoral scanners
Surgical Guides Fabrication Milled vs 3D printed technology

Surgical Considerations
Fully digital Work flow with the aid of surgical guides
The immediate loading protocols
Intermediate abutments, straight and angulated

Prosthodontic Considerations
Provisional Restoration Fabrication Analogic vs Digital.
Final Rehabilitation protocols
Occlusion on Metal Acrylic and Monolithic Zirconia Restorations

Maintenance and Follow-up Considerations
The importance of oral hygiene maintenance care
Peri-implantitis and other complications

Esthetic Dentistry; Digital and Analog Approach

The modern esthetic dentistry is not only about appearance but also about function and functional durability. For functional durability the knowledge about materials and precision of clinical and laboratory work is essential.

The clinical part therefore is more demanding especially if we are using minimal invasive approach. Optical devices and digital scanners are helpful for clinicians to achieve that goal.

The digital era in dental laboratory today is something that is more and more present but next to digital dentistry, the touch of a skilled dental technician is still necessary in high esthetic regions. In the lecture the digital and analog possibilities and their limits in esthetic dentistry will be shown.

Objectives
The lecture will explain full mouth rehabilitation of very complex case of Amelogenesis Imperfecta.

These types of the patients are very demanding for clinicians and normally different specialists are required.
Most important phase of this and every other complex case in fixed prosthodontics is treatment planning.

The functional rehabilitation mostly requires changing of vertical dimension of the occlusion.
This case will show a situation of lowering the vertical dimension.
In Amelogenesis Imperfecta every tooth should be covered with crown for long-term protection.

Full ceramic solutions are more indicated in esthetic dentistry especially in therapy of young patients with high smile line.
Digital and analog solutions and materials are options for technical part of the therapy and it will be explained.

The adhesion and proper cementation is essential for success of this type of cases.
Optical devices and magnifications are very important for every part of the therapy and in this case full margin control is necessary.

Lecture 2

Minimal invasive approach in esthetic dentistry

Esthetic dentistry today is based on a minimal invasive approach. That means, we do as minimum as possible tooth preparation without jeopardizing proper thickness of the materials.

With this approach we prolong the need for crowns and other more aggressive preparations especially in young patients. Even if full mouth rehabilitation is needed there are possibilities to minimize tooth preparation.

Such therapies are more demanding for clinicians from planning part, preparations and finally cementation. Cementation depends on right choice of dental ceramics and composite resin cements. Furthermore, the restoration and tooth should be properly prepared for successful cementation and adhesion.

The presentation will show a very complex case after several orthodontic therapies, detailed explanation of minimal invasive therapy and adhesive procedures for long-term functional durability of the restorations.

Objectives

The lecture will show minimal invasive therapy of a young patient after poor orthodontic therapies.

Patient showed altered passive eruption of her teeth in the upper jaw. Altered passive eruption is one of the reasons for gummy smile.

After treatment planning a first wax up is needed for the crown lengthening procedure. According to surgical guides crown lengthening procedure was performed and this will be explained.
After the healing period a second wax up and mockup are needed for analyzing new tooth shape and checking the centric registration.

In minimal invasive therapy (veneers, inlays and table tops) optical devices are mandatory especially during tooth preparation and cementation phase.
During this full mouth therapy vertical dimension was corrected. If we do a proper registration of the centric, protrusion and laterotrusion movements, we can design better shapes of the cusps and palatal sides of the frontal teeth.

Cementation part of the treatment is the most demanding part and this will be explained in details.

 Lecture 1

Color and Class IV restorations

We have heard many times that highly aesthetic restorations need sophisticated and complex approaches, only reachable to the "gifted ones". What if I tell you that it is possible to teach and repeat a feasible method that allows you to achieve perfect restorations with a high rate of success? This approach allows you to do basically three things: rational color matching, exact reproduction of the selected color and the ability to distinguish and learn from eventual mistakes. Material selection, layering technique and morphology management is nowadays mandatory to mimic the slightest nuances from our patient's teeth, but always without getting in difficulties to do so.

Lecture 2
Class III, Class V, Shape modification and Veneers

Aesthetics dentistry is currently a topic present in many congresses, articles and schools. It is something every dentist wants to do and achieve. Unfortunately it has not been at the reach of everyone, and not only that, the more we see, the more complicated it seems. Some people are horrified when they hear about a “simple” aesthetic dentistry as if the fact of simplifying would turn the aesthetics into trash. In the reality, the contrary is true, but simplification needs to follow dental basic principles. We will learn how to obtain excellent results with the rational use of both the “time tested” concepts as well as the most contemporary. The aim is to put the precious tips you will learn from the Styleitaliano team into practice immediately.

Learning objectives
The lectures have as main goal to let the practitioner learn useful techniques that can be applied immediately after attending the congress, in their everyday dentistry to boost the quality of their work, especially regarding function and aesthetics but always in a simple way.
