  1. From 9:00 to 10:30

Managing endodontic failure: non-surgical retreatment and complications.

    By Xavier-Fructuós Ruiz Sánchez

Primary root canal treatment has high success rates widely reported in the literature. Nevertheless, endodontic failure can occur. Non-surgical retreatment, apical microsurgery, intentional replantation and tooth extraction are some of the treatment options to manage such teeth.

The aim of this lecture is to present several scenarios the clinician can face after root canal treatment failure (missing canals, anatomic variations, big periapical lesions, instrument fractures,…) and the different available approaches to guarantee a long-term success.

  2. From 11:00 to 12:30

How to deal with root resorptions and perforations.

    By Xavier-Fructuós Ruiz Sánchez

Root resorptions and perforations present a great challenge to clinicians not only during diagnosis but also in treatment plan. The use of the ultimate technology (CBCT, dental operating microscope) and appropriate materials (bioceramic cements) has resulted in a high-success rate when treating such entities and pathologies.

The main objective of this lecture is to demonstrate the predictability of root resorptions and perforations when an exhaustive diagnosis and treatment plan is performed.

  3. From 9:00 to 10:30

    Esthetic Dentistry Part 1

    By Luis Carlos Garza Garza

Dental rehabilitation begins with the analysis of the morphologic form of the face, the soft-tissue envelope, and the underlying facial skeleton integrated with the dentition.

The incisal edge position is often considered the most crucial factor in treating complex restorative patients. However, the final result can still fail due to inappropriate gingival levels, even when the incisal edges are perfectly positioned. Therefore, the diagnosis should prioritize determining the cause of anomalous gingival positions before treatment. The strength of the system lies in the fact that the diagnosis guides the treatment plan.

We will analyze the aesthetic and functional aspects of rehabilitating the aesthetic zone with ceramic restorations.

    – Smile design and mock-up
    – Minimally invasive BOPT veneers and crowns
    – Innovations in materials science in prosthodontics and dental technology
    – Protocols for cementation of laminate veneers and crowns.

We have some new and improved information for you, including various clinical solutions, useful tips, and tricks. This lecture shows how to diagnose and treat patients based on five CORE questions according to Dr. Robbins' guidelines.

  4. From 11:00 to 12:30
